I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I think for the type of trails I run (New England rocky/technical trails), the max trac does not work well. Through some Vibram mega grip on these and they may be my all time favorite. These are comfortable right out of the box, light, and feel fast. Probably best for non technical trails with the max trac. The tongue is plush which I like, others may not. I think HOKA has a winner here, but please just put Vibram mega grip on them!

I had a great time running in the Experience Wild 3, but I think my feet enjoyed them even more. They are extremely comfortable and quickly became my go to for any terrain. In January in NW Montana, that can mean just about anything from post-holing snow to dry shred-able trails. I have come to expect ample room in HOKAS, but with the Experience Wild 3, I feel that there may be too much. I have a medium volume foot and there was extra material folding throughout the mid-foot and toe box. I believe these versatile trail runners can cater to any level of athlete and they should be on your watch list. HOKA gave me this free product to try. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. The Experience Wild 3s are a great lightweight minimalist trail runner/hiker. They have a nice wide toe box that we have come to expect from HOKA. They are very comfortable to my wide foot. Very flexible soles with nice grip so you can feel the trail under your feet but with enough padding to protect against sharp rocks. There's not a lot of protection around the foot but there is lightweight coverage for the toes up front. They seem as if they are constructed well and will hold up nicely. For me, I will use the Wild 3 when I'm running less technical trails or forest roads and as an all around hiker.

Pros: Excellent return while running. The heel has a great feel with solid comfort. No loss of traction so far. Fitment is secure to the foot, no heel slip. Cons: it seems to fit tighter than other HOKA models. It might be with purpose but the laces coil. All in all a great addition to your arsenal. The white is harder to keep clean while on the trail. However they clean relatively easy. They fit well from breaking a sweat to casual chill. I appreciate HOKA giving me this free product to try.
