Experience Wild 3+

I’ve taken these on two longish hikes with my girlfriend and I couldn’t be happier. That Vibram sole is the truth! The grip on these shoes is just insane. And they’re shockingly light. Great shoe, HOKA!

I know everyone has a different feet can’t please everyone, nonetheless this shoe is absolutely amazing for me. Light weight and it fits perfectly. I can’t give you durability review yet as I got it recently but I can tell you first impressions are very positive. The Vibram outsole has great grip the feel of the new foam is softer but it’s not an annoying soft, it’s just right. I know some people really wanted HOKA to remain just zero drop but I am digging the 4mm. As long as it stays no more than 4mm I am fine with it. It’s the sweet spot for me. Also this shoe feels sort of like zero drop because the foam is softer so the weight distribution in the heel area will sink more. I think HOKA is doing it right with the new experience models this year. I have some concerns about durability on the sides of the foam with this particular shoe but we shall see.

Like these a lot for comfortable training miles. They are fairly lightweight (300g US10), have excellent versatile grip and some soft bounce. Good ground feel with occasional ouch on sharp small rocks. These do not feel fast I would say but you can pick up the speed for sections of trail as needed. Comfy toebox with good protection. Upper is holding up well and so is tread, showing hardly any wear. The mesh is a bit stiff feeling but have not had any issues. These could be improved by using a quality insole, a minimal rock plate or slightly firmer more responsive foam IMO and quality laces. It's good the tongue is so padded because the laces have zero stretch and are uncomfortable if tied too tight. My feet have gone numb when I've done so. Fit is true to size. Overall really enjoyable comfy daily trainer that can handle all types of trail runs, with some room for improvement.

After trying wide toe box trail shoes from Hoka, Brookes and Topo I didn’t think HOKA would be “the one” with a lower but supportive 4mm drop. But they were the best by far! I’m 210 lb and no arch. These shoes are the best!
